Is There A Reliable Hair Loss Drug?

When it comes to the cure of hair loss, there is a plethora of substances, pills, soft gels, creams, gels, shampoos, and “systems” – all of which vie not only for the balding individual’s attention but also wallet content. One hair loss drug that is being discussed online is a drug that comes with its own treatment system. Falling under the heading of nutritional supplement, this hair loss drug has been making waves on the Internet because of its unapologetic claims – some of which appear to sound simply too good to be true. For example, one of the main assertions is the idea that hair loss may be stopped and even reversed – if the directions are followed to the letter – in as little as 30 days!

The details of the product are very straight forward:

  1. The drug is a nutritional supplement that is delivered in the form of a soft gel.
  2. To be effective, it needs to be taken once in the morning and once at night.
  3. Ingredients are claimed to be botanical in nature and considered safe by the manufacturers. Unfortunately a detailed breakdown of the ingredients list is not offered because of alleged proprietary rights.
  4. Ingredients which are identified as saw palmetto extract, biotin, and 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors.

The manufacturer of hair loss medications and hair loss prevention product lines are clear in their claim that in order to halt hair loss and reverse the trend, this hair loss drug needs to be used in conjunction with the proper hair care products which are supposed to be used in a concerted action for maximum benefit. While it may sound a bit like a come on, the drug’s soft gels are considered by women to be the answer to their hair loss questions, especially since none of the problems associated with the dangerous ingredients of hair loss prescriptions are found in this substance.

In addition to the foregoing, smart marketing professionals have engaged in copious advertising campaigns, all of which showcase not only the safety of the product, but also the ability of the product to actually do what it claims to accomplish. Photos, testimonials, and other positive notes are posted online and are also frequently used in the offline advertising.

Of course, this does not answer the questions whether the drug is truly a working solution for men and women who do not want to use drugs in a an off-label manner or worry about the side effects of the other commercial hair loss drug that may be bought over the counter. It is noteworthy that independent users have come out and claimed that although some results are appreciated, they do not live up to all the claims made by the manufacturer. A few have even gone so far as to suggest that the saw palmetto extract is little more than a hyped up substance that does precious little for hair growth! Since none of the claims have ever been investigated by the Food and Drug Administration, it is a wise notion for the buyer to beware and statements asserting that any substance is a reliable hair loss drug are perhaps a bit too optimistic to be entirely true.
